About this ebook

The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love.

Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right?

Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule…

Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she's shut him down. Completely.

That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It's a good thing Drew knows all about winning.

All’s fair in love and football…Game on.

This is the first book of the Game On series. It doesn’t have a cliff-hanger ending and the next book in the series is about a different couple, however, the characters from The Hook Up appear in the next book. The book features Drew, who is super popular and Anna, who manages to not garner any attention, until Drew sets his sights on her. Although Drew wants a real relationship with Anna, her own insecurities keep forcing her to keep Drew at arm’s length. Drew will need all of his powers or persuasion to get Anna to give him a chance.

Kristen Callihan can write paranormal steam-punk romance and now she's proven she can write a great contemporary new adult romance novel as well. Her characters are complex, well written, and easy to connect with. I really liked Anna, but I totally loved Drew. He's confident, patient, kind, loving, and considerate. Anna didn't see her beauty the way Drew did and it caused some problems between them. They had some great chemistry and the dialogues were killer. If I wasn't laughing, I was swooning, and I even cried a little. The Hook Up is a book that shines best when read, so pick it up for yourself and find out how amazing it is!

In love with this. Read in 1 day. I didnt want to put it down. From laughing out loud... biting my lip... to welling up eyes... the story line had me gripped all the way through... painting pictures in my mind of what i think the characters look like and imagining the settibgs around them. I would read again and again. I love it 5******
