About this ebook

If you love the MMA romances of Vi Keeland and Kendall Ryan, Sidney Halston’s Worth the Fight series will knock your socks off! In Fighting Dirty, a geek-chic cage fighter proves that appearances can be deceiving . . . and oh-so-tempting.

With his preppy clothes and horn-rimmed glasses, Enzo Silva is the last dude anyone expects to find in a mixed martial arts gym. A wealthy Brazilian banker who never had to fight for anything, Enzo’s stuck in the amateur circuit—but he burns to make the pros. Maybe that explains the heat he feels whenever he’s around Jamie Lynn Calhoun. The pint-size, magenta-haired bartender with the Texas drawl is everything he’s not . . . and everything he craves.

Tough as nails and independent to a fault, Jamie Lynn—JL to her friends—works hard to pay her bills and keep life simple. Enzo is doing his best to complicate that. Even though she likes to bust his balls, he’s got some kind of a nerdy-hot vibe that makes JL wonder if she might finally be able to let her guard down. It might do the boy some good to spend some time in her world, where blood, sweat, and victory are as sweet as the first taste of real love.

“A complete swoony escape! It’s a fun, sweet and deliciously sexy story about a woman who is tough and confident on the outside but soft, caring and, yes, a bit damaged on the inside, and a very predictable and too uptight man who discovered that even though they came from two very different worlds, they were perfect for each other.”—TJ Loves to Read

I would give this one 3.5 stars. It was a good read. It turned out to be a little different than I was expecting. I enjoyed the story line. Seeing straight and narrow Enzo out of his comfort zone was a sigh to see. I liked how Jamie Lynn brought out another side to him. It also made him re-evaluate his life. Jamie Lynn hasn't had the easiest life, but her optimism and positive attitude make her one amazing person. I also love her potty mouth and the things she teaches the parrot to say. Enzo comes from a lot of money, but that doesn't always equals happiness. Fresh from divorce and losing a best friend's friendship he trying to move on and wants to with Jamie Lynn. He slowly, but surely takes on this task and finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel. I really liked the scene at the art class. Which really sets into motion Enzo's transformation. Enzo is keeping something BIG from Jamie Lynn that just may cost him the happiness he just found. Will Jamie Lynn listen to his reasons? or will it be too late? There are little surprises and twists in this one.

It's a nice continuation of her previous stories which I FEEL IN LOVE WITH. This one however was okay. Not my favorite, she did set up a interesting road for Penny and Travis. I look forward to that one for sure.

Fighting Dirty is Sidney Halston's fifth installment in her exciting Worth the Fight series. This installment is about Jamie Lynn (JL) and Enzo. These two are polar opposites that find out that opposites sometimes attract. JL grew up with a lousy mother in the wrong part of town. Thanks to her twin brother, JL and him were able to get out and build a life for themselves. Enzo has been pursuing JL for a long time but she keeps shutting him down, how can they date when they are in two completely different worlds. All things change on when Enzo's divorce becomes final. He shows up at JL's work and finally gets her to agree to a date. This installment had me laughing out loud. Enzo and JL are great together. This series is a must read, especially if you are a fan on MMA romance book! I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher for my honest opinion and review. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.
