Joy Danvers-Lively decided to take a new job overseeing the fragrance lab at L'Artisan in PARIS!!!! She had had enough with her boyfriend, Richard and wanted a break from everything. Joy has been trying to learn French, but she will still have an interpreter with her during the days at work. Her first day in Paris Joy wanders into a bakery and hears the most delicious, British accent she has ever heard....coming from a tall, dark man with a sexy butt and he starts flirting with her. Griffin Thomas has been living in Paris for a year. It was an item on his brother Ethan's bucket list that they made while his brother was dying. Just as he was finally able to leave Paris for his next journey, Griffin finds out that he has been reassigned to a different job, not the big cushy one that would have earned him all the money he needed to leave. Now he has to be an interpreter for and American woman who is an organic chemist. Griffin is enjoying flirting with Joy. It's the first time in a long time that a female has excited him since his brother died. After they part ways, they both keep thinking about the other. Imagine their surprise when they are introduced later at her new job. Oh, the fun banter between these two was superb! Both very quick witted! As these two spend more and more time together because of work, it quickly turns into more time together after work so Griffin can help her with her French even more. The sexual tension between these two was explosive. Once they finally crossed that line it was LOOK OUT!!!! I really enjoyed both of these characters. Griffin was chasing a dream and he ended up finding something completely different than he thought he was looking for. Joy was running from life and ending up finding just what she really always wanted. I really loved their happy ending. It was just perfect!

Told from dual third person perspectives (Joy and Griffin) WANDERLUST follows the building relationship between American chemist Joy Danvers-Lively, and British chemist and translator Griffin Thomas. Joy is a woman on a mission when the perfume company for whom she works offers her a position in their Parisian labs –a position that comes with a sexy interpreter. Enter Griffin Thomas, a British marine biologist who specializes in several languages and the man with whom Joy will fall in love. What ensues is the slow burn of sexual attraction, and the potential fall out when their time together draws to a close. Griffin has a bucket list of things to do; a list to honor his brother’s final wishes but with it comes the responsibility of completing the list against all odds. Falling in love was never on the agenda but falling for a spunky American woman meant a change in direction Griffin never saw coming. The relationship between Griffin and Joy is one of immediate attraction. An accidental meeting between strangers that turned into something more. Griffin knew to fall in love with a client could only result in disaster at the very end but falling in love meant spending what little time left in Paris with the woman that called to his heart. Joy would never keep Griffin from completing his list so when the time came to say good-bye her heart knew she was losing the one. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive. The sexual banter is fun and flirty. We are introduced to Joy’s friend back home Allison; Elise –an American living in Paris, as well as Griffin’s pal and fellow translator Christian; and Joy’s Parisian boss Marisol. Christian and Elise’s story line is next in Part Time Lover (June 2018). The world building follows Joy and Griffin as they take the reader to the sights and sounds of Paris-the usual tourist attractions as well as the local bakery, shops, cafes and more. Paris comes alive on every page and description narration The perfumes, the scents and the building aromas are tangible and real-you can almost detect the subtle hints of floral and citrus bouquets. WANDERLUST is a sweet and sexy story line with two sassy characters. The premise is spirited and tender; the romance is heartwarming and provocative; the characters are colorful, energetic and inspiring. WANDERLUST is a story of romance, butterflies and happily ever afters.

What more could an American girl embarking on a bold new life in Paris want than a swoony Brit to help her get acclimated and teach her the language of love? Joy Danvers is more than ready for a change in her life, so ready that she's packed up, picked up, and winged her way to France. Joy has a love of all things French, but what she doesn't have is a complete handle on le francais. Enter Griffin Thomas. A Brit abroad, Griffin is working on the bucket list that his brother couldn't complete, and paying the bills by acting as a translator. As luck would have it, Griffin ends up with Joy as his newest customer. The chemistry between these two is electric from the get-go, but mixing business and pleasure is a no no, or at least that's what they tell themselves. Lauren Blakely has infused WANDERLUST with her usual blend of sweet and sexy, and, in keeping with the theme, a very palpable joie de vivre. Lauren's obvious love for Paris shines through in her descriptions, and in Joy's continually growing love for her adopted city. And the care that Griffin brings to fulfilling his list while being swept off his feet by a certain American girl makes him that much more yummy. 5 étoiles brillantes for WANDERLUST. If this book doesn't make you want to hop a plane and spend the spring in Paris, I'll eat my hat. Add it to your TBR, and enjoy. P.S. It didn't hurt that I also listened to the audiobook of WANDERLUST. Hearing Richard Armitage and Grace Grant bring Griffin and Joy to life made this even more wonderful.
