Dr. Leahy’s book on Authentic Educating was a great paradox of real life experiences compiled in a readable textbook that actually facilitates education. Which reminded me of a quote by Walt Disney “I would rather entertain and hope that people learned something than educate people and hope they were entertained.” Authentic educating as a style of teaching, and as a book, does just that entertains while educating! In a fundamental textbook I believe readability is quite important, because students need to be engaged to continue reading and gaining knowledge . This textbook is a perfect classroom tool.
