Same complaint I had about another book by the same author called maximum ride. These series are too violent and come dangerously close to depicting children being tortured. Senseless depictions of violence in a children's novel as the characters are continually persecuted. Both series seem to make the young readers believe that it is a kill or be killed world, very negative. I wouldn't let my kids near this trash, and this series is more than a decade old. Sad world we live in.

This is the worst book I have read in years. Those who failed to download it are lucky. A dollar is too much for this drivel, which has flat characters and plot holes a semi would fit through. Do not recommend. Do. Not. Want.

I honestly bought this just because I was bored and it was a dollar. I wouldn't see me buying this for full price and the same goes for the sequels. The overall concept was interesting enough but some of the dialogue...god...
