It is a platform for scholars, researchers, writers and poets to publish their works and share their knowledge about Maithili language, literature, and culture. The journal is published online to promote and preserve Maithili language and culture. The journal publishes articles, research papers, book reviews, and poetry in Maithili and English languages. It also features translations of literary works from other languages into Maithili. It is a peer-reviewed journal, which means that articles and papers are reviewed by experts in the field before they are accepted for publication.
