Although superceded in some respects by younger books, Sir F. G. Kenyon's work still provides an interesting introduction to the scientific analysis of the history of the transmission of the text of the books of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Kenyon's presentation on the versional evidence is particularly worthwhile, although some of his statements must be adjusted to take into account discoveries subsequent to his writing. This book includes several good pictures of sample-pages of important manuscripts.
