If you love dogs and sassy marijuana smoking grandma you will like this one. Nate is an ex-Marine turned DEA agent, who seems to find himself in trouble a lot. His boss has had it with him and thinks it’s time for a new partner. One, who is loyal, obeys your every command and will follow you anywhere. A new partner in the form of a dog, named Harley. Jamie is the owner and head trainer at the Woof Gang Kennels. Although it was a little hard to warm up to them at first, Nick and Jamie made a good couple. They both had their trust issues because of past relationships. It did get a little annoying at times when Jamie would push him away, pull him back in, push him away, and pull him back in. I was really going to have a fit at the ending but the author redeemed herself. Harley was the star of the story. I love you got to “hear” Harley’s thoughts. That was a different take on storyline I had not seen before. While it took a little bit of time to get into the book, overall this wan an ok read. Look forward to maybe reading about Nick’s brothers?

An entertaining fun read with a bit of suspense. DEA Agent Nick Archer has a new partner. One of the K-9 persuasion. Before they can get to work they both need a little training though. Nick doesn't think training with Jamie Chambers will be too bad. Nope, not bad at all. It's a shame she doesn't want anything to do with a relationship and definitely not one with a cop. Her husband was killed in the line of duty and she won't go there again. Can Nick stay focused on his case to get the drugs that are killing students off the street or will Jamie be too much of a distraction??? I would recommend this one.
