This series was way to long. It could have all been done in 2 books instead of 5. It was way to much cruelty. I had trouble making it to the final book. It felt like to me that it was a story stretched to far. I'm sure that some will like its length but for me it was really longer than it needed to be.

I've only reach page 77- S5 and I decided to write a review. Character building was slow but in hindsight so very important. I'm presently reading this book with a bottle of Viognier while listening to classic music. I didn't think you could make other characters stand out more than the usual protagonists. Well done!

This series just made it to the #1 spot for me. I loved the characters, the history, their fight. Nox never gave up and that's what it's all about when it's love and war, love conquers all in the end.

About the author

 Aleatha Romig is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis. Aleatha has raised three children with her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly thirty years. Before she became a full-time author, she worked days as a dental hygienist and spent her nights writing. Now, when she's not imagining mind-blowing twists and turns, she likes to spend her time a with her family and friends. Her other pastimes include reading and creating heroes/anti-heroes who haunt your dreams!
