I loved this book! In it, Joby is sent to cattle country to open a vegan and gluten free restaurant for four weeks as part of a challenge from her grandfather. Both she and her cousin are given almost impossible tasks in a contest to become the next CEO of the grandfather's company. Jovy dives right in and gives it her all, but she didn't count on Stone, her sexy landlord. Too bad Stone has other priorities and no interest in relationships. What follows is a very sexy and fun romance that fans of the genre will love.

A wonderful heart-tugging story of veterans making a new life for themselves, whilst still dealing with the various challenges they have brought with them from their former life. Stone, his brother Brick and two other friends bought his grandfather’s ranch to give returning veterans a place to decompress, learn some skills and generally rehab back to "normal" life. They are already filling up and he needs every penny he can get to get work done around the place and increase the amount of places he can offer. His libido is waaaay down his list of priorities but then he meets a new tenant at one of his properties, and he's full steam ahead! Jovy is determined to make her new business a success. Her grandfather is making her work for her place at the head of their large company and has given Jovy and her cousin impossible missions. She has to open a vegan restaurant in Cowboy Central, Texas! She never planned on a sexy as sin landlord, with a hard to crack exterior, covering a wonderfully caring man. This is a superb written story dealing with veterans, their war scarred bodies and emotional problems in a forthright way. But there is a great vein of comedy to lighten the serious tone, Lula-Belle almost steal the show from the main characters!! Jovy is a girl after my own heart and organises Stone and his business in quick time. There was such a warmth and connection between the characters, making it all the more believable. I can't wait to see what happens with Brick and the other boys and I'm loving this little towns acceptance of the many problems the ranch residents suffer from.

I loved Stone and Jovy's story! The author did a great job of incorporating a sexy, funny and heartwarming romance with bringing awareness on how difficult it is for veterans transitioning back into society. "In a Ranger's Arms" by Donna Michaels is book number one in the "The Men of at Ease Ranch" series. This is former Army Ranger Stone Mitchum and Jovy Larson's story. Stone has started a construction business with his brother and two buddies. Their business also employs veterans and housing to help transition them back into society. Stone doesn't have time for relationships since starting this business. He also has unresolved issues from his past that he hasn't totally confronted. Jovy is renting from Stone and has four weeks to make a success of a business serving gluten-free, vegan food in the middle of cattle country. She is trying to prove to her family that she is ready to take over the family business. Jovy is not interested in starting a relationship since she is only staying in this small town for a short time. Wow, the chemistry between Stone and Jovy was off the charts. Will they be able to ignore this attraction? What about all their plans? Well, life doesn't always go according to plans and sometimes it turns out even better than planned. Warning! Once you start this book everything around will just disappear. You will not hear anything your family is telling or asking you. You will fall in love with Stone and Jovy. Oh, you will also love Lulu Belle, the cow. This is a fun story! FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
