About the author
Usman Hamid merupakan alumnus Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Trisakti. Di dunia penegakan HAM, Usman pernah menjadi anggota tim investigasi yang dibentuk Universitas Trisakti (Usakti) untuk mengusut tragedi 12 Mei 1998. Ia juga menjadi Sekretaris Komisi Penyelidik Pelanggaran Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) Trisakti, Semanggi I, dan Semanggi II yang dibentuk Komisi Nasional HAM.
Selama ini, Usman terus aktif mendukung gerakan antikorupsi, perlindungan satwa lumba-lumba, sampai memberi perhatian pada tata ruang Kota Jakarta. Dan kini, Usman menjadi direktur kampanye petisi perubahan sosial bernama Change.org Indonesia.
