I was hesitant about this book. I can truly say that it exceeded my expectations. I laughed, got angry, and wanted revenge for the deaths of the elder MacLarens. The outcome threw me though. Poor Coral. What they saw and heard must have been traumatic. Enough for her to keep the promise she made. And Brodie accepting the sheriff's job. To be continued I'm sure. Can't wait for the next installment.

I am an avid fan of Shirleen Davies western books both the historical and contemporary ones. Her character development and story line grabs you in the first paragraph and holds you page after page. COLIN'S QUEST is as well written and her character development is superb. I have read all of her other novels and they always leave me wanting more. Although, I have been given a copy for an honest review, I can truthfully say that this book will make you a true fan of Ms. Davies, and you too, will want to read all of her works. Enjoy

I'm sorry to say, I got bored rather quickly. I wasn't even through with chapter one before I found myself skipping pages. The book's premise sounded so very romantic and I thought I'd enjoy it. It just couldn't hold my attention. If there was far less filler, I'm sure this would have been a five star review. The romance itself was so so... well, romantic. It simply felt like the romance side took a back seat to the McLarens story and their adventures. 🤷🏼‍♀️

She grew up in Southern California, attended Oregon State University, and has degrees from San Diego State University and the University of Maryland. During the day she provides consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses. But her real passion is writing emotionally charged stories of flawed people who find redemption through love and acceptance.  She now lives with her husband in a beautiful town in northern Arizona.
