Dr Rakesh Parikh, is a physician with specialization in Diabetes. He has a number of medical research papers to his credit and has been on reviewer and editorial boards of numerous medical journals.

He has been associated earlier with the India Against Corruption movement and later joined Aam Aadmi Party as a founder member.
