SPOILERS ALERT! To see the Demon Xanth become a pertinent character in the story was very refreshing and loved how Anthony made him relevant and omnipotent but not overly so as to make the story predictable. Loved that he fell for a human woman. The ending was sad however if you immediately start reading the next book, you'll see that everything turned out. Loved this book!

Touched by the chance to experience an adventure from Xanths perspective. Cried a few tears at the end, really liked the mundane familys struggles to adapt to the land. I felt myself drawn in empathy to Chlorine and her family dysfunction. I keep missing favorite characters like Ivy and Dor, nice to see them in brief cameo.
