I love Ms. McQueen's League Series. Nyk though holds a special place in my Heart. I can totally relate to some of what he goes through in school and later in his teen years. Growing up is hard and if your peers think there is something wrong with you and / or your family. The gloves come off and the bullying starts. So I connected with Nyk. I wish I had my own Nyk. A killer/ protector 24/ 7 that would be nice. For a while.

I started this series with this book, I was hooked before the end of the first paragraph! I've remained hooked ever since...each time a new book has come out I'll rush to Barnes and Noble to get it, then after I get home I'll curl up with Born of the Night and read each book of the series till I get to the newest and really snuggle down in my bed and lose myself in the story. I save the new book as my "dessert" for waiting for the new one so calmly. I really appreciate Ms. Kenyon's storytelling.

This is one of the few books that I can read over and over and still feel everything like it was the first time. I love the characters, the plot, everything about this book. Even in the other books of the series, Nykyrian and Darling are my favorites through out every book. It's an easy read that made everything feel exciting and fun. I couldn't out it down and I can't get enough!i
