About this ebook

An aspiring photographer is about to get the chance of a lifetime in New York-and face a forbidden love that just might be her downfall.
Kristin Burns has lived her life by the philosophy "Don't think, just shoot"-pictures, that is. Struggling to make ends meet, she works full-time as a nanny for the fabulously wealthy Turnbull family, looking after their two wonderful children and waiting for her glamorous life as a New York photographer to begin. When her photographs are considered by an elite Manhattan art gallery, it seems she might finally get the chance to start her career.
But Kristin has a major distraction: forbidden love. The man of her dreams is almost hers for keeps. Breathless with an inexhaustible passion and the excitement of being within reach of her goals, Kristen ignores all signs of catastrophe brewing.
Fear exists for a reason. And Kristin can only dismiss the warnings for so long. Searching desperately for the truth through the lens of her camera, she can only hope that it's not too late. This novel of psychological suspense is a stunning achievement for thriller master James Patterson, "one of the bestselling writers in history" (New York Sun).

Overall, I have always loved James Patterson's novels, especially his earlier works. I wanted "You've been Warned" to be another exciting read, but I'm afraid that I was really disappointed. The characters were boring and some didn't make sense as to what part they played in the story. The book started out fine; full of suspense, action and it kept reading page after page, then near the end of the book it just came to abrupt end. I thought I misread something or missed an entire chapter. I didn't. I think the story could have used a lot of fine tuning. If you a fan like me and still want to read the book, it's my suggestion that you save some money or check it out at your library.

This book was a real let down for me. It was not what I expected. I had hoped for a thrilling mystery in You've Been Warned, but all I got was a big disappointment. I have been a regular fan of James Patterson and have enjoyed many of his previous books. However, this story fell apart about mid way through and it was a struggle for me to finish it. Overall, I'd have a hard time recommending this novel to my friends. I wish I didn't have to say that about this fantastic author, maybe it was the co-author that I should blame. Still, I didn't think the book was a very good read.

Truthfully, it was an ok page turner. I was always anxious to turn the page but then was almost always disappointed when I did. It sounded, in my opinion, written by an amateur, not someone like Patterson. I'm going back to Baldacci now.
