Wow, that had a great action/mystery storyline that I was not expecting! I was reading at lightening speed to find out what happened, what was going to happen, and how it all would come together. There were also a few twists that were unexpected and were gasp worthy. Reece has been living away from home because his dreams told him to, and just when he gave up, he found her. Hannah has been moving frequently, on the run, and only knows the downside of the wolf and pack world. Always holding herself at a distance, protecting herself, it isn’t easy to trust and believe in Reece. He is persistent though, and she finally sees he is all she will ever want or need in life <3

This is a quick moving story that I just loved. While it is part of a series, this is the first book that I've read by the author and don't feel like I missed anything from the story. Having said that, I will go back and read the earlier books - I just enjoyed it that much. Reece is a police detective that responds when Hannah is assaulted. He immediately realizes that she is part wolf, as she realizes he is full wolf. As her attacker was full wolf, she is frightened by Reece, but he immediately recognizes her as his mate and makes it his mission to protect her and take care of her. With Hannah's difficult childhood, she is very wary and this adds lots of angst to their relationship. Between the attack, the paranormal, and the romance, this is a thoroughly entertaining novel that fans of the genre will love. I'm looking forward to working my way through the authors' backlist and only wish I'd discovered her sooner.
