David Capuzzi, PhD, NCC, LPC, is a senior core faculty member in clinical mental health counseling at Walden University and professor emeritus at Portland State University. He is past president of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and past chair of both the ACA Foundation and the ACA Insurance Trust. He is coauthor/editor of ten counselor education textbooks.
Douglas R. Gross, PhD, NCC,
is a professor emeritus at Arizona State University, where he taught counselor education for 29 years. He has been president of the Arizona Counselors Association, the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Association for Humanistic Education and Development, chairperson of the Western Regional Branch Assembly of the ACA, and treasurer and parliamentarian of the ACA.
