And the halls of fandom just grew bigger! Author said he was influenced by Briggs and Butcher and it shows!! Sarcasm. Wit. This book is spectacular. Filled with modern sarcastic humor and a unique, relatable writing style, Charming has left me yearning for more books written by Elliot James.

It has been well over a decade since I have been surprised by how a book ends; not just the ending however.... the twists and turns in the book are very unpredictable. I can almost always guess what's going to happen, who is going to die, etc. but this book had me hooked and guessing the entire time.! I literally have every single one of the Pax Arcana main books & side books. The enigma that's John, Sig and the Crew, especially Molly, is great character! She's one of the bravest of them all!

About the author

An army brat and gypsy scholar, Elliott James is currently living in the Blue Ridge mountains of southwest Virginia. An avid reader since the age of three (or that's what his family swears anyhow), he has an abiding interest in mythology, martial arts, live music, hiking, and used bookstores.
