Ratings and reviews

I really wanted to like this one more. Overall the story is good and the romance is sweet. The mystery was the most interesting part. I wanted to know more about the main characters, Hanna and Joel. The story needed more character development. The romance between them was rushed and I didn't feel the connection between them until the very end. I did enjoy learning about Walker Island and the family.

I liked the characters. Sometimes the women remind me of I Love Lucy. Slapstick and wacky I hate that in a romance book. The guy was strong but not a jerk. There's a thin line between strong and macho jerk.

Why would anyone could keep a secret knowing family and friends think someone is dead, and then finally reveal the truth to keep two people from breaking up? The decision ruined many lives just to help one person follow their dream.
