About this ebook

#1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER • The larger-than-life journey of an 18-year-old college freshman who set out from his dorm room to track down Bill Gates, Lady Gaga, and dozens more of the world’s most successful people to uncover how they broke through and launched their careers.

“If you care about your success, you have to read The Third Door.”—Tony Robbins, entrepreneur, bestselling author, philanthropist, and the nation’s #1 life and business strategist

The Third Door takes readers on an unprecedented adventure—from hacking Warren Buffett’s shareholders meeting to chasing Larry King through a grocery store to celebrating in a nightclub with Lady Gaga—as Alex Banayan travels from icon to icon, decoding their success. After remarkable one-on-one interviews with Bill Gates, Maya Angelou, Steve Wozniak, Jane Goodall, Larry King, Jessica Alba, Pitbull, Tim Ferriss, Quincy Jones, and many more, Alex discovered the one key they have in common: they all took the Third Door.

Life, business, success… it’s just like a nightclub. There are always three ways in. There’s the First Door: the main entrance, where ninety-nine percent of people wait in line, hoping to get in. The Second Door: the VIP entrance, where the billionaires and celebrities slip through. But what no one tells you is that there is always, always… the Third Door. It’s the entrance where you have to jump out of line, run down the alley, bang on the door a hundred times, climb over the dumpster, crack open the window, sneak through the kitchen—there’s always a way in. Whether it’s how Bill Gates sold his first piece of software or how Steven Spielberg became the youngest studio director in Hollywood history, they all took the Third Door.

If you dream of learning under the wings of world-class mentors, achieving your biggest goals, or just transforming yourself into the person you always imagined you could be, The Third Door gives you the tools you need—so you can get what you want.

I'm only 6 chapters in, but I'm already hooked! There's a feeling behind the words that leaves me with a profound sense of optimism. Like no matter what you desire or wish to achieve, there's always a path to get there. Also, the way the stories are told couldn't be more perfectly articulated. Often when I read a book, it seems as though authors sometimes use an unnecessary amount of words to describe a simple idea or concept, almost like there is a bunch of filler between the important stuff. However, with this book, I feel like every sentence is important and crucial to the overall story and has it's own degree of wisdom. And when you add up that much wisdom over the course of 300 or so pages, it amounts to one incredible book!

The lessons of this book are often not explicitly stated, which is part of its magic. You follow Alex on a wild ride of self-discovery and get to see some of your favorite people in a new light. This is a must read!!

Often times I have taken a step back to examine my life from a third person view and realize I am rat in maze of life trying to find a way through successfully and I now know it doesnt have to be that way. There are secret trap doors very few people take the time to try to find but in the end save you a half a lifetime. When we all get 24 hrs in a day no matter where or who you were born, time not money is the comodity we all are secretly looking for but the world leads you to believe differently.
