Kemi Ashing-Giwa was born and raised in sunny Southern California, where she grew up on a steady diet of sci-fi and fantasy. She enjoys learning about the real universe as much as she likes making ones up. By day, she’s an undergrad studying integrative biology and astrophysics. By night, she’s an author of speculative fiction, including her YA debut novel, The Splinter In The Sky. Unsurprisingly, the stuff she studies in class often ends up in the stories she writes.
