Ratings and reviews

I enjoyed this sequel, but not as much as I expected to... The villains were certainly nefarious, and who doesn't love a good WWII connection? But for some reason, I found this book's pacing to be off, somewhat slower. And the plot was a lot more predictable than _Patient Zero_'s. The end was satisfying, and while I am looking forward to seeing what Maberry creates next, I'm not dying till it's October. I wish I could pinpoint what exactly it was about this book that slowed it down, because I really enjoyed so many elements of it. The characters were all believable and, for the most part, likable. The science stuff was really neat, but I guess I wanted the end to have tied up more of the repercussions... Still, I will definitely be keeping up with the series, and I am curious to see what supervillains Maberry creates next for Joe Ledger to defeat.

Loved this book. Great story and what a crazy job to hold! Fighting against these things is only part of what makes Joe Ledger. The other part is pure sarcasm. Lovely. Haha

Love the Joe Ledger series. While this wasn't the best book in the series, it gave a lot of insight into Joe and SOME backstory on the mysterious Mr. Church. Good read....
