About this ebook

Alex's second attempt to break out of Furnace Penetentiary has failed. This time his punishment will be much worse than before. Because in the hidden, bloodstained laboratories beneath the prison, he will be made into a monster. As the warden pumps something evil into his veins--a sinisterly dark nectar--Alex becomes what he most fears . . . a superhuman minion of Furnace. How can he escape when the darkness is inside him? How can he lead the way to freedom if he is lost to himself?

I have read only two of the books in the series, but this one is by far the best one I have read. The hell Alex went through, the drama, the thoughts and memories of his friends that... I'm not going to spoil it for anyone. Even the conclusion had me in wonder. All I'm gonna say about the conclusion is that you are going to be suprised! !

I know EVERYONE got chills when Alex was pinned by Rats during his "test" down in the bowels of Furnace, on the verge of being eaten alive, when the nectar hits him completely for the first time and he screams in anger and handles business like it is. I recommend this book to anyone who has a good imagination for books.

This was the best of the series. For a second I felt we lost Alex. The story's action is amazing throughout. There are still more questions left to answer. Who is Furnace and when will he come? How long can Alex last without nectar? Will anybody believe them as to what's going on inside the prison? Fugitives is next.
