About the author

Susan Palwick is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she teaches creative writing and literature. Her fourth novel, Mending the Moon was published in May 2013 by Tor Books, which also published her first three novels: Flying in Place, The Necessary Beggar, and Shelter. Her story collection The Fate of Mice appeared in 2007 from Tachyon Publications.

Her fiction has been honored with a William L. Crawford Award from the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts, an Alex Award from the American Library Association, and a Silver Pen Award from the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame, and has also been nominated for the World Fantasy Award and the Mythopoeic Award.

She lives in Reno with her husband and three cats.
