Iosi Havilio nació en Buenos Aires, en 1974. Estudió filosofía, música y cine. Además de Opendoor, su notable debut como escritor, publicó Estocolmo (2010), Paraísos (2012), La serenidad (2014), Pequeña flor (2015), llevada al cine; Jacki, la internet profunda (2018) y Vuelta y vuelta (2019). Su obra ha sido traducida al inglés, al italiano, al francés y al croata, entre otros idiomas.
