I'm quite an avid reader of books about SEO, web analytics and website optimization. Unfortunately this was one of the worst books I've read in the past two years. Some reasons: - There is too much self promotion going on. Yes, I realized how the author's company is named the first time he mentioned it. No need to mention it another 20 times. - The first chapters tell you that usability is important and similar basic stuff. Reading such a specialized book I don't want to comb through pages and pages of information that I learned 10 years ago. You waste a lot of time with these chapters. - The book is quite verbose when it comes to things that are easy to understand, but stuff that is important is often explained in one short sentence. Either the other is just not a good teacher or he likes to keep things for himself. After all he has a company who is looking for customers. And he likes to remind the readers about his company again, and again, and again... - The whole book is written in a very abstract way. There are only a handful of examples. I recommend this book instead: "Web Analytics: An Hour a Day" Note: I've read the German version of the book.
