The first part of the newest book in the series is fast paced, smooth flowing and promises this is going to be a great Dragon King story. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and the suspense builds up anticipation. Iona and Laith’s first meeting has sparks flying as their attraction begins, but neither wants a relationship of any kind. Iona is seeking the truth about her father and her past and Laith is a sexy dragon that really shouldn’t have tempted fate with his adamant denial about wanting a mate. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as Iona begins seeking truth only to find more questions than answers and spine tingling tension builds as danger stalks Iona because she plays a part in someone’s nefarious plot against the Dragon Kings. I can’t wait to read the rest of the story and I must warn you that this is just a tease and ends on a cliffhanger, but that means the rest of it, is going to be great. 4 ½ STARS
