This had to be one of my favorites of Tracy's numerous works. I haven't read all 100, but I'm getting close to it, and I have yet to be disappointed!

You always learn new, interesting and insightful things when you read Tracy’s books, her research is amazing!

What a whirlwind adventure! I never saw that coming and now I'm stuck in another series! Awesome!

A thriller set in Europe is always a treat and with Inside Man, we get to visit again the mysterious world of the dangerous criminal Kobra. This time the setting is in Paris and our heroin is an agent tasked with the protection of the vice-president’s son, Cain Warren, that is taking a degree in history. But he is not a normal student, he has a shady past with criminal connections, and he is also dealing with past feelings and addictions. Not an easy task for Agata Kelsey, an engineer that became a CIA analyst. But Agata also has her problems, namely her connection to Dima’s group that we met in the first volume of the series and that was responsible for a violent operation. The members of the team were sent to separate missions but Kobra hasn’t forgotten about them… I really enjoyed the first book in the series and I think this one took some time to get to the same kind of action and plot twists. But the second half was really worth it. Although this story is mainly a stand-alone I would advise the reading of the previous book because otherwise, it will be rather harder to understand the context of the plot. To be totally honest I didn’t remember all the characters from the other story and in the beginning, it was a bit confusing. Maybe a recap would have helped… I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.

I love the author's writing but didn't realize till now that she writes terrific thrillers as well. We have a disgraced FBI agent who has been assigned to protect a man who not only doesn't want to be protected but who doesn't like people in general. The men assigned with her aren't interested in helping. But she's determined not to fail again and refuses to give up. So she decides she'll hang in there and do it on her on. If she goes by his past it appears that the protection he needs is from is own actions. But something just isn't right and soon their both fighting for their lives. Be sure and get this action-packed thriller and you won't want to put hit down till you too know what's going on. Although Book 2 can be read without having read Book 1, you'll get a better understanding of what motivates her in what at first seems to be her punishment for having previously failed. Can't wait to read book 3.

Exciting, thrilling and suspenseful. Agata is a strong main character. I was hooked soon after starting Inside Man. This is plenty on of action and suspense and so many twists and turns. This is a great addition to the series, this does start 1 year after the events of book one, but does end of cliffhanger for the overall plot not for Agata and Cain.
