黃炳煌 南投埔里人，美國哥倫比亞大學教育學博士，國立政治大學名譽教授（ Professor Emeritus ）。臺灣重要教育家、課程學者。七十歲時立志為兒童和家鄉創作音樂。本書收錄其二十五首歌謠創作曲譜、改編的管弦樂?埔里四季?部分曲譜，及「黃炳煌的音樂生命」網站資訊。
