Glenn Wagner, when some one writes a book that is full of glorious God moments that have actually taken place, that is a great read to build on our current faith, one that restores faith in some, or initiates faith in those who are either on the fence or on the wrong side of that fence, we all take notice! 😊 Thank you for giving us the opportunity to hear more about how God has worked in you. Because, for those of us who have been lucky enough to be part of one of your congregations from your 40 plus years of service, we have already felt how God has worked in us...through you!

I confess that my favorite part of going to church is a good sermon. If you share my predilection, you will love God Incidents, Real-Life Stories to Strengthen and Restore Your Faith (Ebook Mybook LLC, Copyright © 2016), by Rev. Dr. Glenn M. Wagner, senior pastor of the Church of the Dunes UMC in Grand Haven, Michigan. At Church of the Dunes, Glenn stands and delivers from the pulpit --or more likely while pacing the carpeted apron in front – almost every Sunday. He is a sincere and gifted communicator who gets the grey matter moving no matter where you come from, theologically speaking. But like preachers everywhere his message must be trimmed to fit the allotted time slot. God Incidents frees Glenn from the constraints of the clock. The chapters are very much like his sermons; finely polished stories filled with personal anecdotes, historical insight, and useful commentary on scripture. But the printed page allows him take us as far as the lessons need to go. Why do bad things to happen to good people? Why should we believe that existence is more than a freak accident? How do we profess our faith in a manner that is helpful and not off-putting? How can a sinner and doubter be helpful to those who are ignorant, hurting or in need? These are just some of the questions that are examined in God Incidents. . Glenn makes strong arguments for what he believes are the answers. But being a good writer, he leaves it up to the readers to ultimately work things out for ourselves.  Henry Granger
