About this ebook

It’s a time for new beginnings and the thrill of adventure awaits three friends.

Dispatched by her latest employer, April’s new goal is to open a café. But snags thwart her progress and pestered by a suspicion that Ellen’s husband is cheating, she instead turns her attention to sleuthing. Her discovery leaves April burdened and she seeks out Laura’s advice but, with a tawdry secret to protect, her friend is reticent.

Laura’s tranquil retirement has been shattered by the reappearance of an old flame whose motives for the reunion soon give rise to question. Her predicament is compounded when she spies Ellen’s husband dining at a restaurant with a young woman – an observation which forces her to acknowledge a past transgression.

Ellen’s talent for baking sees her emerge from her shell as she builds her cake-making business. But she fails to notice her husband feels left out and is distracted by a fellow commuter. The revelation of his treachery causes a dramatic response, leaving Ellen with a chilling secret and her husband’s life in the balance.

The women willingly support each other through the highs and lows, but the need for discretion could challenge their precious alliance. The bond of friendship has boundaries and not all secrets are for sharing.
