Abby Jimenez does it again! This book is well written and keeps you coming back for more. I started this late one evening and finished it overnight because I was sucked into the tale. There are many lovely traditional aspects of a Rom-Com combined with unorthodox elements. The characters were flawed and the solutions were not prescriptive.

I loved this book! I devoured Abby's debut novel in a single day, and had to eagerly await this sequel, which continues in the same universe as The Friend Zone, with some characters we already know and love, and new characters and challenges. Without spoiling too much, The Happy Ever After Playlist is healing. Another well written, engaging, relatable, and thoroughly enjoyable novel.

*MUST READ THE FRIEND ZONE FIRST* This is a stand-alone novel, and you won't be lost if you haven't read TFZ first, but you'll miss the MASSIVE emotional impact of this story if you should TFZ. This story is an emotional rollercoaster for the entire ride: laughter, tears, sorrow, dread, anticipation. Like its predecessor, The Friend Zone, The Happy Ever After Playlist touches on difficult subjects and Jimenez handles them with an artful respect and gentleness so you can fully empathize with each of the narrators. The road to love isn't a straight, easy line, and the work and sacrifice necessary for a good relationship is well written in these novels. *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
