About this ebook

What happens when a spinster teacher pretends to be a debutante?

Miss Priscilla Fellowes is no stranger to disappointing loved ones. So when her employer, Miss Primm needs her to impersonate troublesome student—Allison Meadowbrook—to protect the school’s reputation, Priscilla cannot refuse. It’ll only be one meeting… perhaps two…

Unfortunately, in agreeing to play the part of a debutante, she must allow the Earl of Hardwood to court her. Caught between the proverbial rock and hard place, the rock being Lord Hardwood, and the hard place, being… well, also Lord Hardwood, she’s torn between loyalty to those who were there in her time of need and the desires of her heart.

Will Lord Hardwood forever be an impossible dream, or is there a path in all her pretending that can somehow lead to love?

Don’t miss out on any of these big-hearted stories featuring teachers and students from Miss Primm’s Secret School for Budding Bluestockings—an academy where English Misses go to learn how to fit into society, but instead learn how to make their place in the world. Pretending to be the Debutante is book 3 of this Steamy, Regency Romance Series.

What a romantic conundrum. Priscilla and Emerson had their life mapped out for them. Unfortunately, it did not go as they thought. Priscilla needed to protect her employer who was like a loving sister or aunt. Miss Primm's school's reputation was at stake. Priscilla decided to do something so unlike her nature. She was forced by a student to take her place and spend a two-week house party with Emerson and his family pretending to be the student. From the very beginning Emerson was attracted to Priscilla and she to him each not knowing the others name. During the house party, Priscilla despised the lies she had to tell in order to keep Emerson from knowing the truth of who she was. They fell in love. But when Priscilla's identity and ruse became known, she felt so much shame and sorrow. Emerson hardened his heart to her. He now had to reflect on his own behavior and realized he was no better than Priscilla. He now was faced with bearing the brunt of his father's sins. And it was not pretty. During their time apart, Priscilla thought of a way to atone for her behavior. This in turn changed Emerson's life. Emerson also had time to figure out what was true and what was false. And he knew at the heart of it all Priscilla had been true to her heart and that is what was important to him. A very good book. A must read. You will not be disappointed. ----- I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. ----- Reasons I enjoyed this book: Happily Ever After Page-turner Romantic Unpredictable Wonderful characters

This is book three in the Miss Primm’s Secret School for Budding Bluestockings series. I highly suggest beginning with the first book and reading them in order. The first book is Trapped with The Duke. I enjoyed this book. I think the characters are well developed and complex enough to keep the story interesting. The pace was perfect; I had a hard time putting the book down. I thought the Earl of Hardwood’s family was an especially nice addition to the story. There are quite a few very steamy scenes. Overall, a great romance!

About the author

Married to the same man for over 25 years, I am a mother to three children and two Miniature Wiener dogs.

After owning a business and experiencing considerable success, my husband and I got caught in the financial crisis and lost everything in 2008; our business, our home, even our car. At this point, I put my B.A. in Poly Sci to use and took work as a waitress and bartender (Insert irony). Unwilling to give up on a professional life, I simultaneously went back to college and obtained a degree in Energy Management.

And then the energy market dropped off.

And then my dog died.

I can only be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, for, with nothing to lose and completely demoralized, I sat down and began to write the romance novels which had until then, existed only my imagination. After publishing over thirty novels now, with one having been nominated for RWA’s Distinguished ™RITA Award in 2019, I am happy to tell you that I have finally found my place in life.

Thank you so much for being a part of my journey!
