About this ebook

twilight and Philosophy

What can vampires tell us about the meaning of life?
Is Edward a romantic hero or a dangerous stalker?
Is Bella a feminist? Is Stephenie Meyer?
How does Stephenie Meyer’s Mormonism fit into the fantastical world of Twilight?
Is Jacob “better” for Bella than Edward?

The answers to these philosophical questions and more can be found inside Twilight and Philosophy: Vampires, Vegetarians, and the Pursuit of Immortality. With everything from Taoism to mind reading to the place of God in a world of vampires, this book offers some very tasty philosophy for both the living and the undead to sink their teeth into. Whether you’re on Team Edward or Team Jacob, whether you loved or hated Breaking Dawn, this book is for you!

Do you still feel an unquenchable thirst for blo... er ...more news about your favorite vampire clan, the Cullen family, after having read all Twilight books? Then, Twilight and Philosophy is exactly what you’re looking for! I used Twilight and Philosophy as backup for my bachelor’s thesis and can thus assure you: If you are doing research on today’s vampire fiction, this book is definitely essential and will provide you with new insights and strong arguments. It is not only extremely helpful for scientific research, but incredibly entertaining and fun to read. Twilight and Philosophy is a must-have for everybody who devoured the Twilight series, but it also holds lots of information for everybody who doesn’t know what the Twilight hype is all about. You will be surprised to find out how much Bella and someone like Sarah Palin really have in common and why Edward is prince charming and control freak at the same time. Twilight and Philosophy makes you see your favorite vampires like you’ve never seen them before. I totally recommend that book to everybody who sees himself as fanpire, read the Twilight series or just wants to know more about it!

The book is really great if you really read it with a good heart. It is a book which goes really deep into a persons mind and describes perfectly how a teenager feels while being alienated.Read it without all the comments in your head and the prejudice and you may find yourself really liking it.Don't watch the movie first because it takes out a lot of good things and makes it into something else!!!I'm not saying that the movie is not GREAT!!But I think that it is a completely different thing. It is the Cullens that you want to like, not only Pattinson.
