Like someone else mentioned here, don't expect any deep insights from this book. I expected to learn something new about mental decluttering and freeing yourself from giving a **** about things you shouldn't, but I found myself repeatedly thinking, "yeah, I know that. Yeah, that's obvious. Yeah, I'm already doing that." Don't expect to read this and find anything enlightening or have any significant personal revelations. There's a lot of unnecessary waffle and metaphors used to explain core mindfulness concepts, no doubt in an attempt to increase the wordcount of an already short book. There's only so many ways you can explain how to stop giving a ****. It's good book for some light, funny reading, but don't expect anything deep! One star for how unremarkable and underwhelming the content of this book was, but an extra star for the entertainment value. At least it's funny!

This book came along just when I needed it most! Always been a people pleaser, giving my all and stressing myself out being overworked, under appreciated and having an impossible work/life balance. Reading this gave me that little push to practice saying, "no" - and it feels great! 😀😉

If you want clarity on your present-day perspective, this short read is instantly actionable, and the realisation that no one is thinking of us anywhere near as much as we'd otherwise believe. Funny and straight-shooting.
