Dark fae, lycans, vampires, witches and dragons! This book has it all! I’m excited for this new series. It’s full of some heavy steam courtesy of our broody but sexy dark fae lycan prince Cole as he sets his sights on beautiful and innocent vampire human Lexi. I’m very curious how Cole is going to handle his lycan now that his wolf demands to be heard after all these years. It’s only a four star to me because I feel like there was some repetition that got a bit tedious. But overall the book is fantastic and I loved it. It’s a great start to a new series and I’m excited to see how it all plays out.

Lucky this is the first in a new series by Brenda K. Davies. The story begins when Elexiandra, a half vampire, half human, believing she has no powers, is invited to the Gloaming to attend a ball hosted by the king of dark fae. The ball is being held to celebrate the end of a war between the Shadow World beings and humans. While there she meets and is drawn to Cole, a son of the fae king. After returning to the human world Lexi believes she will never see Cole again. Although the war supposedly is over, there are still ripples of hostilities that the story is built upon. There are a diversity of captivating characters, a building story line with intrigue and drama, some steamy bits and plenty of beguiling reading. I look forward to the next book in the series.
