Ratings and reviews

Background is slightly fresher than the tired scene -- props for having a POC character and some "foreign language" included. Plot is nothing too unexpected (ie. the office traitor). What I'm not grasping is why the "shocker" truth was devastating -- it was sketchy, sure, but a lot seems to be left unexplained, esp. when it changed the viewpoint and attitude of everyone towards everyone else in the book. Maybe it's just me... Anyways, the story... well there are some twists and turns alright, but generally a bit plain, esp when compared to the promising book title. Good read overall.

This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster. The story was fast paced and kept me engaged to the bitter end. I think Alex and natalie make a great team but boy, what an emotional landmine. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The story line was interesting, and attention grabbing. It makes you want to continue reading to see how it works out, with a great twist near the end that you won't see coming.
