About this ebook

A "grim" urban fantasy series full of mythology, dark humor, and paranormal romance!

It's a hard-knock afterlife…

Lana Harvey is a reaper, and a lousy one at that. She resides in Limbo City, the modern capital of the collective afterlives, where she likes to stick it to the man (the legendary Grim Reaper himself) by harvesting the bare minimum of souls required of her. She’d much rather be hanging out with Gabriel, her favorite archangel, at Purgatory Lounge. But when a shocking promotion falls in her lap, Lana learns something that could unravel the very fabric of Eternity. If the job isn’t completed, there could be some real hell to pay.

If you love urban fantasy steeped in mythology, dark humor, and paranormal romance, then buckle up, buttercup! You're in for one hell of a ride...

This series is complete at 7 books (plus a short story collection and illustrated guide) but you can catch up with Lana and the gang in LIFE AFTER DEATH, book one of the RETURN TO LIMBO CITY spin-off series!

Darkly hilarious! Lana is a low-level soul reaper for Grim (the original Reaper). Her pay isn’t nearly enough to compensate for a job that comes with no respect, sea battles with soul pirates, and having to watch your step every minute so you don’t get “retired”. Of course, her life could be better if she were promoted but that isn’t likely to happen. Lana “bends” the rules a little too often, like transporting drunk archangels dropping off souls where she thinks they should go, and has no desire to enroll in the continuing education classes that would require. A new assignment for Lana and her partner is going to change her life in an unexpected and more dangerous way. I really enjoyed this book. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter were always apropos to how we should rethink our view of death and higher beings. The characters have depth and the story has good plot twists. The author creates an imaginative world which intermingles gods, demons, angels, and other paranormals into settings that would rival Las Vegas. This is a great series starter!

I haven't been so enthralled in a book in what feels to long. Loved the creative look of the afterlife! I couldn't put it down, just couldn't get enough of it! I'm left with wanting more and can't wait to see where Lana and the gang go from here!
