The Pearl, the third book in the Godwicks Series, is phenomenal. This is a stand-alone with some references to Red and The Rose, but you will still get the gist of the story. The Godwicks have a daughter, Lia, and two sons, Arthur and Charles. Since Arthur is the oldest son, he inherits the lot, leaving Charles a bit futile. Charles decides to peacock himself by running up a substantial debt that he cannot repay. Charles gives away his parent's favorite painting, a painting of Lord Malcome, his great grandfather. Arthur enters into a deal with widow Regan Ferry, owner of The Pearl Hotel. As with Red and The Rose, this one is similar in some aspects, crossing the fantasy/fiction realm. All is not what it seems!
