I've enjoyed Xanth & all of it's magic for too many years to count. This is as always a book that anyone of any age can enjoy. You don't have to know any other book as this series doesn't follow a linear story. Each is different though does occasionally reference early characters. I do recommend starting at the beginning of the series & reading through all of them. It's a lot to read-TRUE. What you gain from this series is greater than any tv show.

Takes me right into the story. Love Xanth!
