I was super excited to dive into yet another adventure by the author as I love her books and yet again I got everything I expected and more. I was lost in the read from the first page and finished it in a single sitting. Cian and Nessa get together under unexpected circumstances (as he wins her in a card game from her father). Though they hate each other they cannot deny the attraction. There chemistry was sizzling hot enough to melt my kindle. I loved getting to know them as they got to know each other and read there relationship develop. One of my favourite things about the read was Nessa's growth how strong and confident she became and Cian showing his caring side. They have there ups and downs but find a way together. Getting a glimpse of Caitlín and Nathan was like a cherry on top. Now I am counting days for Liam after reading his beginning in the anthology and know what's coming from this read. Thanks to the author for the advanced copy of this amazing read.

Oh I loved this book! I read the beginning of Liam from the Dangerous as Sin Anthology wondering how in the world this ties in and why it's first....now I know! Cian at first was a d-canoe. All he wanted was revenge and to give a hefty dose of humiliation. He never expected Nessa. Once the story started to unfold, I loved Cian more and more! I absolutely loved Nessa. She came into her own and I enjoyed every second. She had some sass and bite under her unassuming layers. She gave Cian a run for his money which I appreciated. ✮🖤✮ Favorite quotes ✮🖤✮ “Don’t look so terrified, sweet mouse. I promise you’ll enjoy everything I do to you.” “I’m not a woman prone to violence, but you certainly tempt me to change my mind.”

This story is dual POV, well written, and an interesting, angsty, enemies-to-lovers romance starting a new series. I enjoyed Nessa’s determination to start to have her own choices. I enjoyed Cian’s support of her emerging independence. I appreciated the realism of her response when her abusive father confronted her again. I enjoyed the secondary character interactions and the immersion of Nessa in a family. I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
