Als in Kulmbach ein Mann erschossen wird, interessiert Kati das herzlich wenig. Hauptkommissar Lars kann nicht fassen, dass die Hobby-Ermittlerin ausnahmsweise ihre Nase mal nicht in seinen Fall steckt, aber Kati hat andere Probleme: Schwiegermutter Anke hat einen wertvollen Gemäldefund im Haus, weshalb es neuerdings am Anwesen von Security nur so wimmelt.
