Mark Miller is a high school football coach in Spring, Texas. His life experience is extensive. Growing up an Army Brat afforded Mark the opportunity to live on the east and west coasts, places in between, and overseas. His family's average stay in one place was eighteen months. In twenty years of coaching at the high school and collegiate levels, his career has seen young lives cut short by: suicides, drowning, and murder. Two colleagues succumbed to brain cancer and another lost a newborn child to birth defects. Mark's personal life has seen its own share of tragedy. He was involved in a car accident that resulted in a fatality, and four months later he nearly lost his family in an accident of their own. Mark loved and cared for his wife, Dana, through a twenty month battle with breast cancer that ended with her death.
Mark Miller has a Master's degree in Sports Administration. He has been published three times in football coaching periodicals, twice in American Football Monthly, and once on XandOlabs.com. Mark is a member of the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association, the Texas High School Coaches Association, and the American Football Coaches Association. His blog site is perspectivesilverlinings.com. Mark has proudly re-married and is the father/step-father of four daughters.
