5 Star Review The Hustler (Boston Hawks Hockey #8) by Gina Azzi This was a fantastic addition to the Boston Hawks Hockey series. The Hustler is Eddie (aka Theo) and Sofia’s story an oh what an emotional story this was. Every time I finish one of these books I feel as though I have a new favourite and this book was no exception. I have a new book boyfriend in Eddie/Theo. He is such a swoon worthy, protective and caring man. I was hooked from the first paragraph and read this one in almost one go, I simply had to know what was going to happen. They met in Hawaii and had one night that neither could forget and yet when they meet again Sofia cannot forgive Theo for his betrayal. This is a second chance at love story that ticked all the boxes for me. The chemistry between them is impossible to ignore, and I loved the development of their relationship once they discussed what had transpired in Hawaii. However, Sofia is a cancer survivor and lives with the possibility that it might one day return. She lives her life to the fullest knowing that tomorrow is not always guaranteed and I loved her bravery and love of life. For me Theo and Sofia are two halves of a whole, soul mates who were meant to find one another. Their journey was rocky at times but together these two are invincible and the love and support that they give to one another melted my heart. Catching up with the other members of the team and their significant others just adds another layer to my enjoyment of what has quickly become one of my all time favourite series.

The Hustler is Eddie (aka Theo) and Sophia’s story and it’s the perfect addition to the wonderful Boston Hawks Hockey Series. I feel like I’m repeating myself with each review because every book I have read has become my favourite so far and this hook was no exception. I knew this story was special because not only did I fall hard and fast for Theo, I also didn’t want this emotional romance to end, I tried to string out each and every page to make this story last as long as I possibly could. It was only meant to be one night and that night in Hawaii will never be forgotten so why can’t Sophia move past what she sees as betrayal from Theo when they meet up again. Sophia is a cancer survivor determined to live her life to the fullest, she knows from her own experiences that time is precious and tomorrow is never guaranteed but she demands honestly from her friends and lovers and it’s going to take a lot of grovelling for Theo to convince her to give him a second chance and boy does he know how to win her heart, Gina Azzi did a wonderful job showing us the real side of Theo/Eddie and this emotional read will stay with me long after reading the final words. I adored the characters but it was the love and support they gave each each other that took this romance to another level. The Hustler touched me on so many levels, I smiled, I swooned, I sighed and I cried as I got to know Theo and Sophia. The Hustler will certainly be on my best reads of 2022 and I will be going back to experience this emotional romance with the added bonus of catching up with the rest of the team later his year because this story needs to read again and again because I’m sure with each read I will experience something different. Please one click this gem you won’t be disappointed.

Now Eddie has left a bad taste after some of things he has done in previous books, but man does that redeem himself in this book. When he finally sheds the Eddie a bit embraces the Theo side magic happens. He grows a lot and Sofia makes him want to further being a better person. I love how tight this team is and their support of one another. How they embrace Sofia is beautiful. These characters show a lot of emotion that I could feel coming off the pages. It's a great read and one of my favorites of the series.
