Tana has been fighting her fire for a very long time. She feels as though she has been put into the misfits dorm since there is no one in the same element as herself there. A strange grouping but despite her fiery temper and her stand-offish attitude they have all become a sort of family that she never knew she had. One that is prepared to stand by her. She is at the academy under false pretenses though and is convinced that one of the guardians, Brandon, is aware of it. Brandon's dragon has long been waiting for the little fire witch to come within his reach. Her faliling her classes and a teeny tiny little fire breakout has meant that he is now her one-on-one watcher. She is with him all day every day and he has every intention of making sure that this becomes his norm, for ever. In order for to happen, there is the little matter of changing history or rather revealing it!

Tana is a fiery little witch that captures the heart of a dragon shifter and saves her father from jail. She also learns about family secrets as well as covin council secrets. She and her friends are stronger together and with their mates, nothing will stop them from their missions. Brandon is a druid dragon shifter that will protect his fire witch at all cost. She's his fated mate and no one will stop him from claiming her. I loved this book with a bit of a mystery to solve and some steam and drama. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a good paranormal read that's about Tara and her adventures. I found the characters engaging and likable and the storyline interesting. Since this was my first book, I'd read in this series, I thought the author did a fine job where I'd didn't feel lost' This is about Tara whose element is fire and Brandon a dragon shifter. The romance that blooms between them, Tara's need to honor a promise, and the camaraderie among her roommates in this enjoyable copy I volunteer to read and review.
