I've read this book at least 4 times through out my life. I learn more about myself and grown with each read. I read this when I was a teenager twice and again when I was 25. I am now 30. I love any romance novels , erotic or not, during the civil war era. I love learning about our history as Americans. Thank you Lynn for your wonderful stories that make you laugh, cry, cheer and strengthen your walk by the end! Such a blessing to have you writing!

LOVED THIS BOOK. I DIDN'T EVEN BUY IT OFF OF THE INTERNET, I HAVE IT HERE AT HOME BUT HAD TO PUT A REVIEW DOWN CAUSE IT WAS INTRIGUING COULDN'T BARELY PUT THE BOOK DOWN.SO IF YOU LIKE A REALISTIC FICTIONAL STORY FROM BEGINNING TO END THIS IS A MUST BUY

I am becoming a Lynn Austin fan. I love how she intertwines historical romance with faith. I will look for more of her books.

About the author

Lynn Austin, a former teacher who now writes and speaks full time, has won eight Christy Awards for her historical fiction. One of those novels, Hidden Places, has also been made into a Hallmark Channel movie. Lynn and her husband have raised three children and make their home near Chicago, Illinois.
