Ratings and reviews

This series is a whirlwind in so many ways, and an absolute must read. Vhalla is a grown and full character, even as she is a growing and vulnerable character. Every character that steps into her story feels deep, flawed, and real. Full disclosure, I am the "musicboxmetaphor" of the dedication, so while that may make me seem a tad biased, I actually think it puts me in a position to hint at the fact that this series will only get better and better with each book.

I am not a young adult reader but I love Fantasy. I have read everything Robin Hobb has written and Air Awakens is just as compelling. The pace of the book is breath taking. So glad the next installment is coming out soon. I can't wait to see how Vhalla developes. Elise Kova is a new star!!!

When i started reading this book, i had know expectations. But by the end of it, i was already buying the next one. I read the first three books of this series in three days and knew immediately that id found a diamond in the rough. The plot was interesting, charaters had me laughing and crying and overall, i really enjoyed it.

 Elise Kova has always had a passion for storytelling. She wrote her first novella, a high-fantasy, in sixth grade. Over the years she's honed her love of literature with everything from fantasy to romance, science fiction to mystery, and whatever else catches her eye.

Elise lives in Saint Petersburg, Florida, where she's currently working on the next installment in her debut YA fantasy series: Air Awakens.
