About the author

Cheryl Crouch is the author of ten children’s books, including the Chosen Girl series and "Escape From the Temple of Mars." Cheryl loves spending time with her husband and four children at their home which is tucked into a patch of oak woods near Dallas, Texas.

Matt Vander Pol first discovered he loved to draw when he was introduced to the world of dinosaurs and Garfield while in his early years of elementary school. 25 years and many drawings later, he is enjoying employment as a freelance cartoon illustrator for both general and Christian media companies in a variety of roles such as Character Designer, Concept Artist, Comic Book Illustrator and Writer, Logo Designer, Advertisement Illustrator, Storyboard Artist, and the list keeps growing. Presently he is working with his super creative wife and friend, Amy, on developing a children’s illustration style and growing their illustration Company - Rockhouse Arts (www.RockhouseArts.com) to better serve a variety of companies and audiences. Matt and Amy enjoy working together and are currently collaborating on their best and most challenging project yet; raising their newborn son Jaedon.
