Well I have finally finished the Kate Wise series, which has an unexpected twist at the start - spooler alert if you don't want to know then stop now! My husband works in the field of infertility and a natural pregnancy in a 56 year old had him shaking his head, saying rubbish loudly, with assisted reproduction yes, naturally no. Despite this I enjoyed the last of the series and it wrapped up things nicely. I will look at purchasing his new series, but as I have just read the Kate Wise series books 1 to 7 back to back, need a break for a while. However Blake Pierce is a great author, builds a story and has characters of depth and interest and I look forward to the next series in a while.

If She Heard is the seventh book in the "A Kate Wise Mystery" series and is a great crime thriller. This book is a fast-paced and action-packed thriller that follows Kate Wise as she hunts for a serial killer in what could be her last case. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

Really enjoyed if she heard, a difficult time for Kate Wise, new baby but still drawn to the job of hunting down a killer. Fast paced and great storyline.. Feel coming to an end on this series but really hope Kates first husbands murder gets a conclusion.
